Concerns Regarding the Proposed 9160-9176 W Sunset Blvd Office Building

Email Content:

Dear Members of the WeHo City Council,

Your Neighbor,

OUR FOCUS

9160 Sunset BLVD: Outlandish and oversized

Our focus is on the imminent threat posed by the proposed development at 9160 Sunset.

Imagine a 78-foot high, 14,000 sq. ft. Mega Digital Billboard dominating the iconic Sunset Strip—the very heart of our community.

This out-of-scale monstrosity is not just a billboard; it’s an assault on the character of our neighborhood.

WHAT THE NEIGHBORHOOD THINKS?

MEGA DIGITAL BILLBOARD

"Given the unprecedented size of this 24-hour graphic display, I have tremendous concerns about the light, including animation, strobe and color-changing effects, emanating from the billboard in the early morning hours and after Sunset."

-Olivia Peabody

ENOUGH BRIGHT LIGHTS

“I get enough bright lights when I am on tour, I don’t need them in my home.”

-Ozzy Osbourne

MORE TRAFFIC
IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

“The proposed project at 9160-9176 Sunset Blvd will add to traffic and parking issues in our neighborhood especially in light of the developer’s request for the city to allow the project to have fewer than code required parking spaces.”

-Greg Thompson

IMPACTED QUALITY OF LIFE

“Negative effects from this light pollution will include sleep disturbance, impacting my quality of life, and greatly disturbing the look and feel of my home.”

– Matthew Rolston
