West Hollywood's Planning Commissioners pushed back on the applicant's “bulldoze-ahead” approach for 9160 Sunset — and called for a smaller, right-sized project. Their actions are because you stood up, but the fight is far from over. Now is the time to make our voices heard — not sit back.
The proposed project would replace the Hornburg Jaguar site with a five-story commercial building and roughly 2,800 sq. ft. of animated LED billboards — among the largest on the Strip — aimed directly at neighboring homes, plus more traffic at an already dangerous intersection.
The environmental review acknowledges construction noise impacts would be significant and unavoidable. The changes residents are asking for are reasonable — and the commissioners agree.
